Ray Knight Casting and the NTA Awards 2020

Everyone here at Ray Knight Casting works hard and we pride ourselves on providing a quality service while providing quality supporting artists for the film, television and photographic industry.

So, it’s good to see that 42, yes 42 productions we have worked on recently and work on regularly are being featured in the list of nominations for the forthcoming NTA Awards 2020.

Let’s look at a selections. The full list is shown below.

Afterlife

Afterlife follows Tony (Ricky Gervais), who finds that his life has been shattered due to his wife dying of cancer.

While contemplating suicide,Tony decides that instead he’ll endeavour to live long enough to punish the world for his wife’s death by doing and saying whatever he wants.

In Tony’s mind he considers this to be a “superpower”, however when everyone around him tries to make him a better person, he finds that his plan is somewhat thwarted.

Afterlife is funny, dramatic and emotional; touching not only the funny bone, but also the heart.

Call The Midwife

Call The Midwife follows the lives of a group of midwives working in the poverty-stricken East End of London during the 1950s.

The Sisters and midwives carry out nursing duties across the community which include delivering 80 to 100 babies being born each month together with bringing safe childbirth services to women in the area.

Call the Midwife was created and written by Heidi Thomas and is based on the best-selling memoirs of Jennifer Worth. With consistently high figures in the viewing polls, Call The Midwife will no doubt win awards at the NTA Awards 2020

Eastenders

Set in the fictional Albert Square in the East End of London in the fictional Borough of Walford,

Eastenders follows the stories of the local residents and their families.

A regular staple of British television, Eastenders will no doubt win awards from the NTA Awards 2020 to its existing collection of awards but will continue to do so for many years to come.

Fleabag

Fleabag follows Phoebe Waller-Bridge, a confused, angry sexually insatiable young woman living in London while doing her best to navigate life whilst dealing with the perils of love and the pain of tragedy.

Featuring her dysfunctional family relationships and questionable romantic encounters, together with Fleabag often breaking the 4th wall by talking to the viewer directly during the episodes.

Fleabag is a worthy winner of numerous awards and accolades together with being a nominee in the forthcoming NTA Awards 2020.

The Capture

The Capture delves into the world of fake news set in a “post-truth era”.

Exploring the capabilities of the intelligence services, The Capture follows soldier Shaun Emery, whose conviction for murder in Afghanistan is overturned due to flawed video evidence.

Returning to life with his daughter in London, CCTV footage of Shaun from a night out in London is leaked and his life begins to unravel.

We’d like to thank all the production companies associated for giving us here at Ray Knight Casting the opportunity to play a small part in these programmes.

We’d also like to thank all of the supporting artists who worked on these productions.
